Dry point

Meaning behind the art piece
For this art piece I felt very attached in my previous project of the block print and decided I wanted to continue off of the idea of obsession but interpreting in general of every person how each person might have an obsession for example might one have the obsession of getting better economically but once you even get better economically in your mindset you want more and don't appreciate all that you have compared to others that's why for this piece I disfigured the human body as representing how we can lose ourselves in our own obsession as being obsessed for something might not be a bad thing as that might be a key to getting motivated and doing better but not to the extent where we won't recognize who we used to be.
process
1)start brainstorming on ideas of how to represent my idea
2)sketch the final decision
3)trace you sketch with a inscriber on the plexi glass
4)place a paper leave it in warm water 8 minutes after take out and place in towel
5)meanwhile place the ink on the plexi glass with a palatte knive
6)grab the paper and the plexi glass and place it on the printing press

Artistic inspiration
I chose Salvador Dali as he was the one of the most known artist in this moment witch was surrealism and what better idea to analyze some of his work to see how crazy i can get with this movement.

Reflection
Through out this project of the dry point I enjoyed doing it as I feel it was similar to the previous project I was making the block print. I also liked it because it allowed me to expand more on my idea and interpret it but by viewing it from another perspective.
